My 2n ran out of gas, after I filled it back up and walked around to the other side I noticed that gas was pouring out of the bottom of the carb and the air intake.

Any ideas what happen?

Any ideas to fix it?

thanks

Like the others said.. brobably some junk in the valve.. probably got sucked in due to a low fuel level, and the absence of one or more of the 3 fuel screens... in the tank, in the fuel bowl, and in the carb elbow.

Check those when you get a chance.. carb elbow and fuel bowl will be easy.. wait till you are out of gass to check the in tank one.

Do the tap/rap thing on the carb first, most of the time it will fix the problem since it just started out of the blue. You probably have a little crude in the valve seat. Also if that doesn't work you can pull the inlet pipe from the carb with the drain plug out of it and spray some carb cleaned in the inlet.

Before you tear it apart the float could just be stuck. A couple sharp rap with a hammer handle or screw driver handle on the bowl can help reseat it ...give it a try if it dosn't work then you can tear into it....runnin it out of gas probably got a piece of crud stuck under the needle...HTH Tim

Your float is probably not adjusted properly. Take the carb off and adjust the float - I believe there are directions for doing so somewhere on this website.
