I have an 8n that is sputtering, especially under load. It has the 12 volt conversion kit, new plugs and wires, 90 psi at each cylinder, fire at every plug, seems to be gassing well through the carb. I cannot figure out what is going on here. Any ideas?

Sounds like mine. I agree with Soundguy - If its a front mount - check the fire order and MAKE SURE that you are going counterclockwise. I went several months like this cussing the tractor until I read a Dell post.

I would start checking strainers and filters. My problem has been all three before. I had some trash in the carb elbow, removed that and it ran better for a while. Then started again. Then I discovered there was some gook on the strainer over the bowl. Still sputtered a little and I finally took off the tank and cleaned it out. There was all sorts of grass and trash in there. Haven't had a problem since. All this occurred right after I bought it. I'm careful when putting in fuel now and always check the can.

Check the amount of fuel it's getting. The sputtering may be due to a partial blockage in the fuel line.
