8n oil stupid question

Hey just bought a 8n and it is alittle low on oil at dip stick. Where is the oil fill??? Do you fill at the dip stick ????? ?

Pour engine oil in at the crankcase breather. Just pull it out and dump oil in. If you just bought it, change all fluids. You don"t know what is in there. 8N - 6qts engine oil. Everything else is the 5 gallon deal.

Oil filter is NAPA Gold 1010.
Clean and replace oil at air filter. Doesn"t hurt to pull and clean air filter element either.

Just to the right of the dipstick (assuming you ARE checking the crankcase dipstick? There's a hydraulic sump dipstick on the right, under the seat, too) is a tube, about 1.25" in diameter with a large (~3") cap on it. Pull the cap. Dump in the oil.

If it's the hydraulics that you're looking at (the dipstick under your seat), then the fill is what looks like a large nut on top of the transmission cover, to the right of the gear selector and to the rear of the starter switch.
