Per your request from a previous post, a "before" picture of how to wire sparkplugs using the headlights as hangers for the excess wire and COMPLETELY avoiding the wiring tube on top of the engine. (DISCLAIMER: I may not be the brightest star in the night sky but I DID NOT do this!)

Now that's one tricky way to wire the plugs. I'd probably never have even thought to do that !! LMAO !

This is even better than taking the hood and radiator off to look at the points.

guess some people never heard of cuttin' wire to fit?..... thats dumb! New copper-core sparkie wire kit $10, cheap. Do NOT USE modern anti-radiostatic carbon-core sparkie wire. It is like glass and cracks and breaks and consumes sparkie power. Yer N-Ignition just barely has enuff sparkie power to run yer engine with efficent copper-core sparkies..... ..Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister

Did having that wire cost extra?

Must be a hundred dollars of plug wire.

There's a matching set on the other side plus it goes over just about everything in the engine that doesn't get hot and is zip stripped to it. I am gonna like getting it wired right cause the stuff is strapped to everything I've worked on so far.

Anybody need some wire?

I got this 8N it had about 7 ft of battery cable. One looped all the way down near the ground.
Knowing about all that, I often wonder what some of the posters are working with here on YTmag. If you don"t know a guy has 7 ft of battery cable and 16 ft of spark plug wires it makes it hard to get him to the right problem.
If I had all that I"d probably think a 12v conversion was the way to go.

While I's has that pic up there, what's the deal with those lights? Original or some aftermarket thing? I heat a lot about winged brackets and such and these just bolt thru the dogleg. Got some extra holes on the one side if memory serves me. Anybody know if those are original?

I don"t know about lights but

you have an actual generator tensioner. Don"t see a lot of those. I have the strap but got threaded rod with nuts and washers where the spring and long bolt should be. It was nearly FUBAR when I got it. Some guys don"t have even the strap and tension the belt by stuffing a 2x4 between the engine and genny.
