Well i've done just about everything else, now jumping into the hydraulics with both feet. They worked good but wasn't right, looked for leaks thru ins. plate.... couldn't see any (leaked down in about 20 sec hot using gl5 oil, changing to gl1) So I pulled the top cover, ready for this? control shaft shot, dog bone shot, cam half warn away, cam follower pin shot, control arm shot, has naa piston and putting new rings on that, droped pump, housing is new but valves might be old, no sludge in bottom,(clean and no water)pto shaft and bearings look new. What do I do next? besides replace all the wore out cover things. Derek B. set me up with all the replacment parts. Are you going to say rebuild the pump???(another $300 that I didn't want to spend)problem is, I want it right

Thanks for the fast replies, I think i'll replace all the cover stuff that I need to, no squirts out of safty valve, so i'll leave that alone also. Fill it with gl1 oil and hope for the best. Has anybody used the thing of Zane's? adjustment jig. Don't really need draft control, since I just bush hog, fence holes, and pull wagons with it anyway, no plowing. Is that needed to set it up right?...thanks again....508n

I don"t see anything you said explains why it leaks down like that. One thing left to leak you can"t see the leak, the check valve. Guess you gotta replace that while you"re at it. Check valve and spring and safety valve because it all comes out to get to the check valve.

This great N-Board doesn't charge by the number of words you use to describe yer problem. NEVER apoligize for excessive verbage.

My general rule of N-hydraulics is: iff'n it WON'T LIFT and it don't squirt, then the pump might need rebuilding. The information you provided DOES NOT support bad hydraulic pump.

'course iff'n yer sphincterly challenged, by all means replace yer $300 hydraulic pump. BTW, N-Hydraulic pump rebuild kit is just $100..... ..respectfully, Dell
