I ran a classified here on this a couple weeks back and only got two replies. One was not a Ford seat and the other was too rough. I have a 1944 2N with a riding mower seat that would like to meet up with an original pan seat in reasonably good condition. If any of you have one floating around you could sell me, please shoot me an email and don't clutter up the forums any more than I just have. Don't want a new one.
Classifieds and ebay haven't paid off. Appreciate your time.

Shorty,
Check the classified adds to the left of this screen. there is a guy in nothern california
(Galt) that has a few 9n/2n's that he's parting out. you might give him a call his name is Sam. I bought both dog legs and a wire tube from him last week. seems like a pretty good guy.
Good luck
Dan

Did a search and I just can't find it. If you have his email, could you ship it over here or contact him and have him email me? I'd like to see what he has.

Yep, that's it. Notice the rectangular thingy in between the pan and the leaf spring. That's the part I would remove, but you could have the spring as well as the pan if you needed both. The special carriage bolt would probably need to be replaced, though, but they are available from the N parts suppliers.

I have 2 9Ns and a 48N that have 7 hole seats. My 51 8N (worker) has a 4 hole like the master parts catalog shows 48 - 53. I'm going to part out at least 1 of the 9Ns maybe both since both blocks are cracked. I may get the 1 going that runs for a loader since it won't be used as often. I'll let it go for 15 plus shipping if you don't get any bites closer to home. HTH

Hey Don, any idea what the source of the 7 hole seat is? I am told 4 holes on flip seats and 5 holes on the non-flip 9N and 2N seats. Are these aftermarket? Don't know why I care cause I'm gonna put a fancy, cushy cover on it anyhow to protect my delicates but just as a matter of interest.

Well, I went out and looked again during the daylight... the 2 9Ns have 9 holes??? and the 48N has 7 holes. Th 9Ns look identical and the only difference is the 7 holes on the 48. None have any markings, all 3 are not flip seats. HTH
