Any chance at all you might have a better picture of your seat? That didn't come out right. The TRACTOR seat for the 2N? I'd like to see the top view and the other side. It's not welded anywhere is it? Lot of pitting? My email is open if that's easier. Appreciate it!

No, it's not pitted anywhere and is in remarkably good condition. No welding either. The rocker arm on the lift cover housing broke fairly early on and they just replaced the entire lift cover...seat assembly and all at one time. My granddad never liked that flip over seat anyways. To be honest, I kinda wanted to hang on to it juuuust in case I wanted to put it back original (currently have an aftermarket 7-hole seat on the tractor now), but i have another 5-hole seat that was on the tractor when I got it, just not in quite as good a shape so I can always revert to it if I decide to go back original on the seat pan. I'll snap you a couple more angles tomorrow and try to bust that carriage bolt out of there...the nut is rusted on there pretty good and tight and a wrench is not an option any more.

Thanks Jeb. Think I'll be in here working today. Each day seems to be hotter than the last and I just got no stomach for another today. Stuck my AC unit in the window and thinkin I'll just sit in here and make some money. Look forward to seeing the pics.

 3 pics...large! in reply to 6N's Short, 06-11-2005 06:41:22
Here are some pics of the seat. I have since gotten it removed and it, along with the carriage bolt and the seat spring are currently in the back of my truck ready to head your way. I should be able to get it in the mail to you on Monday.

If you look closely, there are 3 holes approximately 1/8" to 3/16" in diameter; one to the left and right of the two lower holes and one just about directly above the center top hole. These are NOT rust holes but appear to be an original manufacturing hole placed in the seat during forming (just a guess). There are NO welds and no cracks or rust through spots, just the normal surface rust and some cobwebs. The only thing I see wrong is the disc in the center is kinda flared up on the left and right (kinda wavy). That could be flattened back down without much difficulty and it really isn't bad. Click on my name and send me an email and we'll get some shipping address info and that stuff knocked out.
