116 lbs. of calcium chloride and/or 23 gallons of water giving you 310 lbs of ballast in each tire if both are used 9or about 185 if only water is used) in a 11.2 X 28 tire.

HTH,
Dan

A quick search of the archive accessed at the top of the page show this information furnished by Dell (WA): you ALWAYS WANT AIR in yer filled tires. Fill until it just crosses over the inner circle of the tire. Thats about 80% full. And about 23 gals for your standard 10-28/11.2-28 8N tire..... ....Dell"

wished I hadn't in reply to Steve IA, 06-18-2005 12:05:29
Before you put fluid in ,look for weights. I have fluid in both of my Fords. Am looking to take it out.
Reason calcium eats up rims. They ALWAYS leak some , sooner or later . My tire dealer charges a disposal fee for the fluid , per gallon .

just my 2 cents worth,, joe

My rims had calcium in them when I got the tractor. And I removed it when I had new tires put on . So the original rims were saved. I put in water and nontoxic antifreeze. But I think I have to much in the tires. I think Ill drain out some. Thanks for all the info Glenn
