You might be able to run a smaller baler, but I wouldn't do this. It's kinda like pulling a 32' 5th wheel camper with two slide outs with a 1/2 ton pickup. Yeah it might do it but for how long and how safely? The smallest tractor I would recommend to bale with would be a Farmall Super H or something there about 30 hp. But a Farmall M would be the better machine just because it is alittle heavier.

just gotta remember that when pulling a baler,
ya step on that clutch and if ya gotta a wad in that chamber getting ready to plunge, it'll stop everything in a hurry and sometimes the big flywheel on yer baler will have enough centrifical force to push it through, at least thats my experience when i hooked my 4570 up to
to my 2n and starting off is a pain its gotta be goin' full force way before ya go back into the row after ya stop, but it WILL doit ya gotta find just the right ground speed and leave it cuz the old flywheel is not gonna let change gears without it stopped thats fer sure
youll wanna rake in the dragstip pattern and stay away from the winding circle or when something goes wrong and with a square baler, and it will,, ya don't have to runover a lot of bales getting out of that row just pull to the side, fix yer problem, make yer circle and back into the row that ya came out of
i gotta HESTTON 4570 if ya need a high capacity baler, she'll drop about 350/hr on the ground, so the dealer says, my best is 241/hr

Neighbor has been baling with an 8N and a PTO driven NH 273 for over 20 years. Thousands of bales and no problems. Another neighbor uses a JD 14T behind his 8N. Not sure about the specs on a 67, but I know an 8n will bale with a PTO drive machine.

Not unless it has its own engine on it, a baler is a little to much to ask an 8N to pull and also run also. A JD 14T was all my 801 wanted and that was with a freash engine in it.

I'm gonna line up with you again on this one. Just cause it will do it doesn't mean it SHOULD.
Not enough tractor to safely perform this operation. Maybe on dead flat ground but even then you are pushing the tractor too hard. IMHO
Biggest safety issues deal with weight.
