As dell said... the the washer goes on first.. then the oring. That should put the oring closest to the domed top of the piston.

Also.. if they are leather washers.. the rough side goes toward the oring.. and the smooth side towards the piston groove. If it is a rubber oring.. there wil lbe a beveled edge that goes toward the oring.. etc.
Tip: use a spoon to help you run the washer around the piston in order to seat it.. and when you roll the oring on.. make sure it doesn't set in place twisted..

SJHunter..... ....yes, sounds like you went shopping at "COSTCO" you only need 1-washer but gotta buy a 6-pack. (grin)

Yes, it is a good idea to "slightly hone" yer lift cylinder. But don't pannic iff'n you don't have a brake hone to fit. Thats one of the beautys of the improved NAA "O-ring" piston, very forgiving.

Assemble with the "O-ring" towards the PRESSURE side of the piston. 1 of 6 back-up washers goes on first, then "O-ring". Tip: SOAK the back-up washer in HOT WATER so it will stretch, or you will be using washer #2..... ..Dell
