Did a post yesterday and thanks for the responses. I did add a 2nd post saying that I did hit a tree stump/dirt clod with right front wheel. Is it possible that I bent the spindle causing the wheel to be pointing out to the right while the left obe is straight?

You've got worn-out gear on your steering wheel shaft. Been there; done that. Luckily I was able to get away with only replacing the shaft; sector gears were serviceable yet. But you have to take the steering box apart. You'll probably find that the gear on the end of the steering shaft is razor sharp, indicating extreme wear.

Richard, thanks for feedback. I believe you're talking about pt. no. 9N3525 shaft and pinion assembly @62.13 on this website. I guess I'll lean in that direction unless I hear anything else to consider.

I did something similar on my 9N, and when I have the steering wheel stright, the sector arms are not aligned. Just haven't got around to re-meshing them yet.

Thanks 9N---. Sounds like you'd rule out the bent spindle thought. Probably right as it would take a real solid hit to bend it I imagine. Iguess I,ll try sector remeshing and hope for the best.

Sorry, forgot to tell you it's a 9n.
