At the yearly geezer outing over the 4th I had received some grief about how real tractors are green and that my 8n was a nice little toy tractor. Well to my great satisfaction we had a Deere go down on a joy ride and I was more than happy to send my little toy tractor back to pull it to the front with cameras ready for the photo shoot. I'm sorry if this doesn't work but if it doesn't the picture is in the stuck and troubled gallery.

About a year ago we needed to move the 500 bushel grain cart. ( Empty of course) I lost the picture but it sure looked funny a 2N ford moving around with a 500 bushel grain cart that stands about 11 feet tall. My 3 point hitch could just barely raise the tongue.

I had an incident about 25 years ago when a farmer renting the land from my mother got his self-propelled combine stuck. He laughed when I offered to help with my '51 8N.
Fortunately, he had had the sense to not bury the drive wheels. I strung out enough chain to get onto hi ground and told him to not spin his wheels as I pulled. That machine popped right out of the mud.
He thought that I had souped up the engine. Nope, stock 8N. Just years of experience getting "un-stuck".

Felt the same way when my neigbor buried his brand new 4x4 Kubota and asked me to pull him out with my 40+ old Ford.

Hey,I think that is great, old tractor people helping old tractor people inspite of color differences. WE need to carry that kind of actions into our everyday lives. I'm sure if the colors were reversed it would have worked out the same way. Stay happy out there ,folks!

Cheers BDK Richard

Nice. Reminds me of a pic sent to me By Roger Welsch.. ( allis chalmers guy ).. He was in a parade.. driving a G I think.. and his wife was on a jd. JD broke down and had to be pushed the last block of the parade... the caption under the pic he sent said something like " jd A under full power "

I LMAO on that one.. this one is just as good.

I think it was very fitting that you posted that one in the Stuck and Troubled gallery.
