when I lower the draft control lever the arms will drop ,but unless I hold it down it won,t stay.Any suggestions? Thanks

There should be a fabric or cork friction disc under the round metal disc at the center of the quadrant shaft. If it is still there and intact you should be able to adjust the tension by tightening the nut on the end of the shaft until it is tight enough to hold the touch control.

the draft control is designed so the arms require a forse pushing in one the top link. so the arms will only stop when the right amount of forse is reached. by moving the lever down the quadrent, you tell the hydralics to require more force or "draft". so unless you have a ground entering implement on it it will only be up or down. don't worry you tractors hydrolics are doing what they wer desinged to do.
