My hydraulics hold up a load fine but there is no up or down adjustablility with the lift lever. When I try to lower slightly it will not move for 2 or 3 inches of travel with the lever and then it when it starts to go down it goes all the way to the ground and also when I try to lift it wants to go all the way to as high as it will go. Thanks for any help.

Since you are sure it is position control mode with the small lever under the seat in the UP position it is probably one of several possibilities with the position control linkage. It is possible that the cam follower/dowel is work into or missing or falling off the cam because of excessive wear in the position linkage. Or it may be as simple as a pin fallen out of the mode changing linkage.

See my web site below for information on the jig that I make that allows the rookie mechanic to be able to correctly adjust the 8N lift and get it right the first time. No guess work!

I checked to make sure it wasn't in the draft postion. Thanks.

You do know there are two modes of operation for the lift control correct? What you describe is "draft control". Little lever under your left butt, flips to give you "Position Conrol".

I think it's under his right butt.
