Hi Guys, I need a little help, please. Is there a seal on the bottom of the steering column/shaft on the '47 Ns that could be leaking my Slick 50 all over the floor or a crack? Also, would the oil slop all over the clutch or run down behind or down the sides of the clutch housing. It's leaking out of the little hole in the housing under the clutch. Thanks in advance.

Pete: If you have a 47 8N, there is an expansion type plug that goes in the bottom of the steering
gear housing. I think its there to allow access to the bottom bearing race. You can probably get a freeze plug the right size to work. As long as the drain in the bottom of the clutch housing is clear, you shouldn't get oil on the clutch.
