There is tons of info in archives on changing fluid but what do I need to put everything back together. Gaskets?? Will I need an inspection cover gasket, and two drain plug gaskets? Is there a gasket under the fill plug? Do you all just reuse whats there? Besides the fluid change and cleaning is there anything else that should be replaced before bolting the inspection cover back on?

If the gasket is OK use it again.

The differential drain is a pipe plug and requires no gasket. If you don't drain that one also you will still have about a half gallon of oil still in it and the new five gallons will over fill the drive train.

Rattsie..... ..as a general rule, gaskets for constantly removed drainplugs are re-useable. ...unless... they've been "torn & abused". p/n 8N-7011 ($60c, cheap) for both the 3" tranny and 3" hydraulic pump Yes, there is a gasket under the tranny filler cap; p/n 8N-7037-B ($60c, cheap) for 8N's and 8N-7011 for 9N/2N's. I replaced mine once because they were driedout and squashed and leaked..... ..Dell

Had to change fluids in my 2N. Went to "checker auto" and bought a sheet of gasket material, pulled the plugs, used a ball-peen hammer to mark the material and a razor blade to cut the gasket to fit.

Put a gasket under all the plugs and still have material left over...
