I pulled the right side cover and laid under the tractor at full throttle with my flashlight, which was very scary, but I saw what I wanted to see, no leak from the safety valve, but a flow coming from parts unknown when the lift is lowered. That's gotta be what Dan said, the unloading valve doing it's job and dumping fluid from the forward baffle plate and it just shows up around back. Now I wonder if I have a problem at all with the hiccups, as the lift seems to correct much less if I add my considerable weight to it. I know the book says to test it with a heavy implement, just how much does a heavy implement weigh? I could lift some stuff I guess, how much would be a good test?

I am sure there comes a point where the weight makes the correction (bobbing) a constant act - therefore no bobbing. The NAA lift is rated for a MAX od 1200 lbs. so I would say a good test would be anything remotely half of that MAX weight. If you get too close to the MAX, you risk activating your system pressure saftey valve at the bottom of your hydraulic chamber, and I have read that doesn't seat back to good because of the lack of use. If it was mine, I would just use a brush hog or similar device to use for a test - those weigh about 500 lbs. I would guess. And that is probably what you will be using mostly anyway.

Let us know the results.

Dan
