Overhauled my 8N, its start fine but keeps shutting down after a couple of minute. Checked the gasline but fuel goes to the carburator.
Its starts again with no problems but keeps shutting down.

From the infamous Dell notebook!

1)runs for about 1-min and quits; bad condenser
2) runs for about 5-min and quits; clogged fuel filters (3 of'em)
3) runs for about 1-hr and quits; restarts after 4-hr or overnite cool-off; bad coil
4) runs for about 15-min and quits; gunked up ignition switch guttz

But does it get in as it should? Pull the drain plug on the bottom of the carb you need to have a good constant flow of gas out of the bottom.

Since my father died last May, I have decided to restore his favorite toy a 1948 8N. The problem is this. It starts right up with good Oil pressure, but after it runs a while and warms up, the pressure drops down to about 5psi. Any thoughts on what I should look for first before I tear into it?

Sounds normal from what a lot of people say. Mine starts at around 35 and drops to 10.
