Has anyone bought a sediment bowl and valve assembly off of dennis carpenter? Was it any better quality than the cheap junk made over seas like everyone else sells. I need to replace my vave and bowl assembly for my 8n and would like to buy a good one as the last 2 I got werent worth having.

Thanks

If I ever buy another one, it will have to be from NH or from a known source. Just put on a brand new one and everything's great. It just won't shut off the gas. Constant drip to the carb. I just put an inline shutoff in between it and the carb and left it on. Most of those you can buy from auto part stores etc are junk.

I got mine from the Barkleys and a lot of their stuff comes from Dennis since they are only a few blocks from each other. The bowl was OEM quality and I am HIGHLY pleased. no leaks and everything works as it is supposed to. I have never had any problems with the Barkleys.

Did not know that Don was close to Carpenter. I"ve bought a lot of stuff from Don but nothing from Carpenter..Carpenter is usually way overpriced.

I only think I bought one small order from Dennis directly. But yeah, 98% of my restoration supplies came from the Barkleys. Prompt service, know what they're talking about, willing to help, good parts....why go anywhere else?
