Just uncovered the serial number on my Jubilee. After the number (NAA48765) there is a diamond. Something I found on the net said that that ment cast iron sleeves and an overbore. What the heck does that mean? Looking to rebuild her this winter.

Stan..... ....unlike automobile engines, tractor engines like long-haul trucker engines are meant to be re-built many time. A cylinder sleeve is a replaceable "bore" that will always be the correct size for standard pistons. When automobile engines are re-bored to correct for outta round and taper, thats-itt. One-time fix with new over-size pistons to fit.

Ford experimented with 0.040 sheetmetal steel sleeves and 4-ring pistons to prevent excess oil burning and longer lift. Discovered the 4th-oil ring controlled the oil too well and actually caused accelerated wear and increased horsepower loss from increased friction. Ford found out thicker 0.090 castiron sleeves for better ring sealing and 3-rings pistons for reduced friction loss was the way to go..... ..... Dell
