Is there any reason, other than screwing up, for instaling the lift arms on upside down (left on right, right on left)? My 8N came this way. I"ve owned it for 16 years and used it that way with no problems but now I"m restoring it. I"ll correct it, but was just wondering way someone would put them on upside down to begin with.

I thought the upper lift arms had a master spline and couldn't be installe dout of index??

You are correct about the "indexing". Maybe the casting marks {one on top & one on the bottom of the arms}are the problem ??
