Never had problems with him! He even sent me a $30 part for FREE (and SHIPPED it free!), when I needed it and couldn't afford it.

What's his real name? in reply to 9n8801, 08-25-2005 14:29:30
Just for future reference, in case he surfaces again and tries to build trust again using a different handle, it would be nice to know the guy's real name so we don't send him a check for something down the line.

He sent me an email saying his name is as follows
Ken Booth
500E.Ridge
McAlester,OK 74501 This is where I sent the check and he appears to be the one that cashed it. I have the cancelled check He also used the handle of Roughstockokie. If you want more info go to archives on this forum and type in his "handle".You will get over 900 hits I think.

third party image

That was the guy who found an old Ford Tractor Dealer in McAlester that he was getting a bunch of stuff off of. I emailed him on a few items I was interested in, but never got a reponse. Kinda glad now...

He was hanging out with Hooker (the guy who painted his N orange and black like the OSU Cowboys) a few times if I am not mistaken (pic attached). I haven't hear from him in awhile either.

I don't know what happened with him, he was on the board all of the time and alot of guys got parts from him with no trouble at all. Some of the guys even saw his parts and verified that he had what he said, then all of a sudden he was gone, it's unfortunate because this board is a good community and many of us have bought and sold parts to each other on this board with no problems at all.

That is why I just give board members parts instead of seling it. If I want to sell it, I will go to eBay.

If you are REALLY sure that this is an attempt to steal from you, and you used the USPS to send him the payment, contact your local postal inspector or file a complaint on their internet site. Whereas the local police will probably do nothing if you report this, the USPS postal inspectors will be all over the guy like a ton of bricks, even for a small amount of money. Get a copy of your check for evidence. Good luck! -Bryan
