Inner seals??Now I am lost. I am thinking my early 8N was not equipped with inner seals. It was suggested I make a half moon dam, sounds feasible but where, and how? I am assuming some light sheet metal cut to barely clear the axle and covering the lower part of the axle housing. Any additional help would be great. I dont really want to be taking it apart again soon if I can help it, those darn tires are heavy.

ALso, need to make sure you aren't over filled on the oil. Should be below the bottom hole on the inspection plate. I've never been into where you are talking about so won't try to help you there but someone else will come along here. Mine was leaking a liilt though and I drained the oil down to the bottom hole and it stopped.
