During rebuild I replaced my starter drive with a positive drive bendix. Later found out my old starter was shot. My question is how do I get the new drive off my old starter to put it on my new starter

Thanks Dell, that method worked fine on the old bendix; however there is nothing to depress on the positive drive starter drive. Please someone tell me I'm wrong about this.

Paul..... ....you remove yer starter drive with yer left armpit. You doubt? With starter UPSIDEDOWN in a vice, pressdown with yer left armpits and expose the spring-loaded drift-pin. Hold drift-punch with lefthand and tap-out the pin with hammer in righthand. Simple, eh?..... ...Dell
