53 NAA. I was lifting something up and the hydraulics bound up and fluid leaked out from my pump. Now the hydraulics go up and down, it jumps going up and when up, with weight on it it slowly goes down. I'm wondering what my problem may be. The fluid leaked out from the pump, maybe round a seal in the middle of the pump. When it cools down i'll check the level and see if some needs to be added. but i don't think that is the problem since only about a half a quart leaked out. Any thoughts, ideas.

Fluid leaking from the pump is the first thing to fix. Rotary (round) or Vane type (square) pump? Once that is fixed, run it at fast idle and look in the filler hole to see if it's leaking from the cylinder or valve body. let us know what you find. if you have to go further, I would reccomend the hydraulic repair video for NAA, it is well worth the money when in your shoes, plus I have a document you may want to look at if you need to open the cover and do a rebuild.

It is a round style pump located on the tractors right side, just below the battery tray area. I will take a look inside the fill hole and see what i can see.
