Hey guys I was out bush hogging my in laws property yesterday, lots of deer trails, running through it, but it was growing up to weed, saplings and thorn apple trees.. I had about an hour or so left to do, I was using my tn55,, I see on my front tire a side of a deer antler, I get off the tractor to remove it and one large tine from what was a 10 point buck was stuck in the front tire, I pull it out and hisssss,, well my farm is 30 miles away so the tractor sits in t here field waiting to be fixed tommorow, with the price of gas that is an expensive antler, but at least I know I will try to get this deer in the fall, anyone ever pick up an antler like that,, have a good one,pat

I had the same thing happen a few years ago while brush hoggng with my Jubilee. The only difference was instead of an anler I found the middle section of an aluminum arrow sticking out of the side wall on the right front tire. I was on my 50 acres and I only shoot carbon arrows. Hummmm? Treaspassers!

Now that is a legitimate concern. I have found arrows over 100 yards into my property.

Knock on wood: So far I have found them before they have found any of my tires. The tire liners that I rely upon would be no match for any arrow.

A friend did this on his Ford Expedition - believe it or not, he was discing a food plot at the time. I keep telling him he needs an N.

i'll have to remember that one. only thing i can share is after brush hoggin all weekend, i woke to find i had tree bark hanging around my back wheel rim. it was stuck in between the rim and the tire bead. i had to let all the air out and pry with 2 bars to get it all out. jeesh! moral - don't drive too close to trees, deer antlers, or carriage bolts.

That was a lot of work for only cosmetic benefits, and if you are actually using your N for bush hogging, it is clearly not a trailer queen.

My 51 8N with tubeless rears has had bark, wood, etc., between the bead and the rim for years. I do mow close to the trees but I never add air.

Most of the tractor tire flats I have had seem to occur while doing free tractor work for relatives and neighbors. It's not always cheap or inexpensive to be a Good Samaritan.

This is only the second time I've heard of a deer antler thru the tire.. other time was over on TBN.

Speaking of flats. Went out to the truck the other bay and a carriage bolt was in my tire.... that was a bugger to get out and patch!!

good luck on your fix.
