Heard today on Bob Brinker's Money talk program that heating cost are projected to rise by 40% this heating season.

I just went a pre-bought 925 gals. It was $1.59 gal. My water heater, dryer, stove and heat are all LP. About 3 winters ago it got up to over $2.50 gal and with a 275 gal tank full every month during the heating season that hurt.

Here in South Iowa I contracted LP for the winter @ 1.29/gal. The contract price has been rising about 20¢ every year for the last 5 years. The truck price was $1.35 and likely to go higher says the driver. I've called a couple of places to get bids on replacing my 25yo furnace and AC for more efficient models. Plan on moving the old furnace to the new pole barn so I can stay a little warm if I need/want to work on the tractors this winter. Steve
