I just got my first tractor recently
The 3 pt hitch will lift about 100lbs
That's it !????

Questions
What goes wrong?
how expensive $ to repair?
What oil is used?
Is this the same oil for the transmission?

Sat 17th at 1:15pm

Thanks You
Robb

If you just bought it I would
drain the hydraulic oil from the
three chambres ( be prepaired to
catch 5 gallons).
See how much comes out...
Put in 4.5 to 5 gallons of 80-90 wt
oil or 134 (light weight oil) and try
again.
You might just be low.
George

Hi Robb. Mine did the same thing, only wouldn't lift even 100 pounds. My valve chambers on the pump were cracked due to water in the oil. Once it freezes, they can crack and cause the pump to lose alot of pressure. The tranny/hydraulic/rear end all use the same oil to run and lube everything. 5 gallons all together. Can't say for sure what your problem is, but pull the inspection cover on the right side-it has the dipstick in it, and with the hydraulics running look in with a light and try to see if you can find a stream of oil shooting from somewhere. It may also be a badly warm lift cylinder which is above the pump. Where around Syracuse are you? I live in Hannibal and work in E. Syracuse.
