I didn't find mine until I sandblasted, and then there it was, right where it was supposed to be. It is a very dim and shallow hand stamping, and easily obscured by paint.

Ralph..... ...according to NAA Dan Dibben's most excellent site>Link

Golden>Link Jubilee and NAA Ford tractors: produced from 1953 to 1954

On early production models, before serial number NAA-22239, the serial number is located on the left front corner of the engine block, just below the manifold. On models serial number NAA-22239 and beyond the serial number is located on the left side of the transmission housing, above and to the rear of the starter, just below a 3"x 6" horizontal flat on a 3/8"x 3" semi-vertical surface. The serial number is hand-stamped onto the semi-vertical flat, not cast into the transmission housing. Format is model designation (i.e. "NAA" or "NAB") before sequential production number.

The very early models had the serial number stamped on the upper left side of the engine just behind the carb. linkage towards the front of the engine. Check there.

Good luck,
Dan

Good Luck, Lee
