I noticed a few weeks ago that some of you bought propane for the winter and the price was good.I wonder if anyone has bought any in the last 10 days and the price now.I just ordered some and it was $2.09.This is from my old reliable dealer.I hope it does not get more higher or some folks will be in a bind..Back to the wood heaters I guess for some...R.M. I filled @ 3 weeks ago, right before or after the storms. $1.60 a gal. The next day I heard the wholesale nat. gas prices went thru the roof. Lucked out. Still going to turn the thermostat down this winter. Locked in for a year on my electrical just before it went up 3 months ago. It kicks in this month. DON TX

Mother Earth News has free plans for a waste oil burner on their web site. It is environmentally friendly if you follow the plans and don't freelance. Waste oil is free. It also gives you 138,000 btu/gallon. Propane gives you 91,000 btu/gallon. Might be worth a look if you are up to building it.
