Any one care to compare thw two type mowers. I have a two wheel woods with limiter chains. Was wondering if the 4 wheel drag behind cut any more even. I have a hilly yard and get some scalping if I dont watch real close. The skids on the side of the mower will dig in some times.

I have a four wheel type and it does a great job. However when I turn real sharpe the front wheels want to dig in and leave marks in the yard. If there is a bump or a mole hill in the yard it will also scrape that right off. I like it because I don't have to worry about chains or having it at the same height. I never even raise it up just turn off the pto and back it in the barn. Marty

I just sold my Caroni 5' finish mower, 4 wheel.
Didnt use much horsepower at all to cut.
Now then never used it on the 8N, just the TC29.
The "float" control might be like the draft on the 8N, have no idea..yet.
That said, it did a better job than a two wheeler, I've got rolling hills, dips and real hills. Anything will scrape a bit at times, but the two front wheels will keep it from scraping when going downhill, and hitting a flat area or starting back up.
