Folks,

My 9N is an hour away and I won't be going up there for a few weeks. I have a trailer that came up for sale and I'm wondering if it will work.

Can someone give me the width of a 9N at the rear wheels and also the length. The gotcha on the length is I need an approximate length with a brush hog attached. Doesn't have to be precise.

The trailer is 6' wide by 11' long. Has dual axles and good brakes. My gut tells me that it is probably wide enough but the length seems a bit short with the hog.

Any help appreciated.

Robert

I have hauled mine on a 6x10 single axle trailer when I just had to move it and the trailer handled it well but it was FULL!

RD: I have a '52 8N with a 5 ft. bush hog & tow it regularly from my home to the old family farm about 90 miles away on a tandem axle 7,500 lb. GVW trailer with a 16 ft. bed. I put the front tires snug aginst the front trailer railing & the trailing wheel of the bush hog will barely fit on the trailer bed at the rear. This works fine, but I would not want to use a shorter trailer carrying the tractor with the bush hog attached. GA Jim

I agree with you that 11' is going to be too short with a brush hog on it. I use a 6' X 16' which is about right with a mower or brush hog on the tractor.

mine came home on the back of my chevy 3/4 ton.....as far as the hog goes, most states allow 4 feet behind you tail lights,,,unless the peace officer that is following you wears a condom for a uniform, you should have no problem..... ...mike
