Could someone please tell me how you get the rear brake drums off a 1946 2n ford? Thanks,Rick

Chock opposite rear tire, jack up other side and remove wheel and block up axle trumpet. I remove fender for easy access. Remove 6 hex nuts on brake backing plate. The axle, and brake assy. come out as one complete assy. Loosen brake adjuster screw and backing plate and brake assy will come out of drum.

A neat trick is to bolt the brake assy back on the axle trumpet using a couple of 7/16" bolts and nuts. Now you're ready to take your shoes and socks off. :-)

On a 9/2N ya gotta pull the whole axle along with the brake drum.
