I have a 8N with a leaky rear axle seal. I am trying to do this repair myself. I have the drum off and am wondering how to get the hub off. I have tried a puller. It doesn't seem to want to come off. I found a link with repair instructions. But can't find it now. Somebody who has been through this please advise.

You're probably referring to Smiths tractor site: Try this or search of "Smiths tractor site". Good luck!

Be sure that the locking ring is engaged with the grove in the axle so you don't loose a wheel!!!!!

Put the drum and wheel back on and run the axle nut up snug then back it off one complete round.

Drive the tractor in regular use until you see that the hub has come loose. Then take it off and repair the seal.
