This is our first restored tractor. My father and I have been working on this since my brother hauled it out of an old farmer's machine shed last January. I paid $500 for the tractor initially and several times that in parts and several times that in our labor but I would not change anything for the experience. My father and I have done most of the work but my two brothers have also contributed along the way. The brother that hauled the tractor home also assisted in re-assembly of the engine including putting the keepers in the valves, a job my hands are not well suited for. My other brother lives a 1,000 miles away but still helped out when he was home and spent several hours sanding sheet metal, another job I hate. My father ended up making several parts in his shop that just were not readily available in addition to doing more than his share of the mechanical work as well as his duties as quality inspector for the job. Not bad for a man six months short of his 80th birthday. For the eagle eyed amongst you, yes the color on the starter is not correct. The original starter was bad and I had a new one shipped to me so I could paint it during the week and have it ready when I went to my father's shop to put it on last weekend. That is when I found out that TISCO rattle can paint is NOT the correct color. I have several places I will have to touch up so I will repaint it when I do that. There are a couple more pictures in Tractor Photos under 9N if you would like to see them. I want to thank the members of this board for all the help I received during this process. We could not have done it without you. Paul, Steve, Jeff, and da Boss Roy Kouski R. Kouski & Sons Antique Tractors
