I'm sure i must be dreaming, but is there a way to get a replacement set of gears (part no. 9N-713) for the "9N-760 PTO accessory belt drive"?
The overall unit is in great shape but those gears look like 20 miles of bad road.

If you really need a good belt pulley, I suspect your best deal is to buy another one at a swap meet. Seems to me they go for $50-$75, and it will be difficult to get many new parts for that much money. Just my thought. Mike-Iowa

Hey Bajafish-
The originals were Timken tapered roller bearings; pinions; and sun gears. I'm sure there is a replacement part. Try your local (FORD) Case/New Holland dealer. They can cross reference the old Ford part number and you might be surprised at what you'll find. hth

Just about anything can be made, but your easiest bet is to just buy another pulley drive and salvage the parts. Then again, you could leave it as is if you don't actually plan on using it. I only run mine for my show-cordwood saw. never actually use the saw and the gearbox clanks a little at low idle, but who cares!

I've seen really old gearboxes filled with sawdust, grease, and a little gear oil.. just enough to 'soup' up the grease... Actually made a 'tight' smooth sounding gear box..

Amazing what you can find in old equipment!

Reminds me of an old trick to quiet a bad rear end in a car. Fill the differential with banana peels. Sounds great...for awhile.
