I see several reasons why there are repeat questions

- no prominent link to the FAQ pages in the popular pages of the message board.

- people don't refer others to the FAQs as much

- seasonal nature of tractor problems

- no "uberFAQ"

- search engine on message board is good but limited

- the FAQ's cited in the other thread haven't changed much, at least since I bought my N. An example is the "gear to bushhog" question. I don't see it covered in any of the FAQ pages.

If someone wanted to start a new FAQ list, I don't see why that would be a problem. Most of the answers could just refer back to the other pages.

As our friend Ed says below, maybe the FAQ is counter-culture to this site. I started my Ford FAQ's for the very reasons that were just rehashed. I quickly found that most questions are not asked to get answers. The answers are already published in numerous places. Anyone with a search engine can find them. Most questions are asked to start conversations. Another aspect: answers are not always satisfying by themselves. Discussion can clarify many ideas.
