Does anyone know where I can get a web (rachet) gear for an old New Holland manure spreader? I think it is a model 330. The gear is cast iron and I'm not having any success in finding someone who can weld it satisfactorily.

If someone has not messed it up with bronze, cast iron can be arc welded quite easily. Use nickel rod, grind the parts to a V, clamp them in place, heat them with a rosebud torch, not to red hot, but darned hot. Weld with the nickel rod, it will lay in there like butter. As soon as you are done welding, take a pecking hammer (or the pointy end of your de-scaler hammer) and peck all around the weld as it cools. You want it to cool slowly, and the pecking helps the molecules align and prevents the weld from breaking. After pecking for about 2 minutes, let it cool in ashes.
