Checking in from the Great White, Cold north... lol.

Sask (Just about 80 miles north of Montana/ND border.

17 acres, own a 42 2N. She mowes about 8 acres with a finish mower during the summer, and for the first few years I was here she was my winter snow plower with a 3 pt blade. Gave her a well deserved break last winter when me and the neighbour got together on a JD 2130 with 148 loader and put a 3pt vplow blower on the back.

The JD is currently in the shop as we replace the front pump coupler that blew, and fix up the former owners neglect on all the engine and frame mount bolts holding the loader on the tractor.

Anyhow, put the N to work earlier this week cleaning up after a good snow storm. Still pushes snow like a Champ.

Need to get some time to give her a well deserved fix up in the front end( Steering loose, and wheels wobble at road speeds),and rear where she leaks pretty good from 3pt hitch pins.

Lyle.

'47 2n, 2-'48 8n's, '56 640, and '58 861. The 8n's are parade/show units. The 2n and 640 do the antique plow day. The 640 also does most of the odds n ends. The 861 is the new kid, he has a loader, power steering, and 2000 Lbs. of fat.( calcium in the tires and full set of pie weights ). We live in eastern Iowa.

My wife would say to many, 8N, 861 w/ps, 4030 backhoe/loader, JD 60 & Farmall 400. Make a little hay, mow w/brush hog, spread horse manure. The backhoe is the handyest thing ever, northwestern NJ.....

Well I'll chime in here.
Just upgraded from a 2N to an 8N this summer.
I use that for mowing (bush hog and finish)
and plowing snow.
I also have a 65 3 cyl 2000 with a one armed loader on it. I use that for moving heavy stuff around, hanging my deer on, picking apples at the top of the tree and other very important tasks.
I live here in the City- Golden Valley MN but use my tractors up at the lake and woods in central MN

just one 48 8n, since I only have 2/3 of an acre it is my toy, although we are clearing 1/3 of an acre of trees, so I drag trees and stumps, I have a rear scoop to flatten the land and just enjoy working and riding. 180s mile north of NYC.
Of course if I had more room, time, money I would collect more tractors and a few old cars/trucks.

Four tractors, located in Brighton, MI.

Farmall SMTA-used for cutting, raking, baling, and local delivery of grass/alfalfa hay for the horse market.

Farmall B-used for pulling equipment around and recreational tractoring with my 9 year old daughter. Will soon sport a buddy seat so I don't have to sit on the axle anymore while she drives. Probably will replace the MTA on the rake next spring.

Ford 1520 diesel 4WD with 3 pt and a loader-Nice small utility tractor is used for just about everything except baling. My #1 workhorse for 15 years since I bought it new.

Ford 2N-Have not found a use for this little tractor yet, but thinking about building a front blade arrangement for her next year and plowing snow. Was given to me to settle a debt. This tractor's main use is to give me a fun project to work on when I (rarely) have free time. Needs a little engine work at the moment but it starts good when it is in the zone.

I need one tractor; I have three. Two 1950 8N's, one a frontmount & the other a sidemount, and a 1951 8N w/ a Sherman & a Freeman loader. The 50 frontmount (my first N) is in very good originial condition; I did a total rebuild on the engine last year & plan to make it a trailer queen next year. I work a garden, cut grass & bushhog w/ the N's, but mostly just spend money on them. Old Church VA, about 20 miles NE of Richmond.

I did have three - a 1948 8N, a 1952 8N, and a 1954 NAA. I had to sell my 1952 8N because I only have enough room in my storage building for two tractors. My 1948 is my trailer queen - deligated to pulling the hay wagon on hay rides and other "tedious" chores like that. I am about to bring her back into the shop for my first true restoration attenpt for the winter. Here is a pic of what she looks like now with over $5k in her.

My NAA Rustbucket pulls workhorse duties mowing, scraping, dragging, etc. on my 42 acres.

I just have one. A 442N. Maybelle is her name. Don't really have a need for a tractor because I only have an acre of land. I have just always loved these old tractors since I was a kid and ran across the opportunity to buy one at a good price so I did. She was in pretty bad shape when I bought her but she looks and runs pretty good now.

Just one 1949-8N. It's my first real tractor. So far I've only used it to run a bush hog, scrape the driveway, and I dug out a few tree stumps. Really looking forward to the first snow this winter so I can see how much better it works than my lawn tractor.

I have one 8N, for mowing our 7 acres, Northern FLA. The 8N kind of came with the land thanks to the real estate guy, but now I've had a lot of fun with it and very attached to it.

Too many tractors. A 961 wide front to keep for miscellaneous small jobs--brush hogging, raking hay, etc. A 960 and 740 for fun, must part with those. A recent 8N for a project. A 5610 for the bulk of the work--putting up hay, snow removal, big jobs, etc.

I have one. A 1943 2N. She has one purpose in life and that is to blade my driveway. It"s very steep and gets washed out everytime it rains hard. I used to repair it using a wheelbarrow, shovel and rake which took me about 5 hours to do. I can now do it in 45 minutes without breaking a sweat. In the meantime she sits in the garage warm and happy waiting for the next rain.
