I finnally found the riding mower at the price that Im ok with at Amazon.com.Cheaper than Walmart and the shipping is less than the taxes here. Its very tempting to order but would like other opinions that have ordered this way. They are crated new (I Suppose) with new warentys.Have any of you went this route with Amazon and how does it work, how would you pay and is it a good business operation,I havenever tried them..Thanks R.M. After buying any thing on the internet with my credit card I always clear my history and the cookies on my computer. I don't want my number stored any where on the computer. I don't know if it does any good but makes me feel better.

Besides MANY books and some CDs, and DVDs (since there is no book or record store nearby), we have purchased things like 2-
way radios at Amazon. We've been very impressed with them. The items arrive quickly, are well-packed, and are returned for a full refund if there are any problems. Now that's just our experience, but it's been very good.

I always use a credit or credit backed debit card for any long distance ordering. because even if the company goes south the credit company like VISA have insurance against that sort of thing and will refund your charges if you never received your merchandise or services. If you send them a MO you are outta luck.....HTH.....TIM

Same here -- used a debit card and a credit card, both, at various times. When we had to return a high-ticket item, they reversed the charge on the debit card very quickly and were prompt with all communication by email. :-)

I've never had any problems with Amazon.com. They seem to be pretty fast. I alway's used my debit card with no problems.

I remember hearing a radio consumer advocate out of Atlanta warning everyone not to use a fake visa or mastercard (debit card) for ordering anything. He said there was NO protection like with a regular visa credit card. His name is Clark Howard and he has a website at Clark Howard.com. I remember getting a lot of good info from him. He is not one of these shrill whiney do gooders. Good luck ps, I have also ordered form Amazon, both books and other stuff. Same experience as Dawn. John in Mich.
