Just starting to put this 8n"s wiring back together after the rebuild, does anyone know if it matters which side of the coil the distributor connects to..... is it +/- ????? Thanks RB..... ...P.S. Have a wonderful THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY, GOD BLESS AMERICA.

RB..... ...the rule is (+) to (+). Roundcan coil (+) connects to whatever yer battery (+) is connected to. Since yer 8N came from the factory, 6-volt positive ground (+), then the 6-volt coil's (+) is connected to positive ground thru the ignition points. And yer coil's (-) gitts connected to battery (-) thru the ignition switch. Simple, eh?

You can loose upto -40% of yer sparkie volts with incorrect coil/battery polarity. On a new engine, probably wouldn't make enny difference. Used engine and worn sparkies, you need all the volts yer coil can output..... .....Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
