4:20 am and snowed in. At least this time the wind isn't 80 mph. I think winter is getting to me. Is it May yet?

Seriously, have been in and out to run errands and take care of animals between blizzards, email is on and off according to some capricious gremlins somewhere, and generally only getting to scan the forum the last few days. At least Arthur has 2 tarps over him -- and about 10 inches of snow. Bleagh.

Right now, the I-80 and Elvis look-alike thing almost sounds good. Almost! LOL

Sounds like it maybe spring before you get that tractor in the shop, sort of hard to pull a loader when its that cold out plus the snow there doesn't help. So I guess no more walls falling. LOL

You just watch me! LOL I am more motivated than ever to get that thing off there now. If the fella' who wants it doesn't come down here to get it pretty soon, I'm going to take up that welding simply to slice it off there! LOL

Nope welding isn't the way to do that, about all you will do is make it harder to take off. LOL Shoot with a couple jacks and a few cement blocks you could have it off in under 3 hours, if you knew just how etc. LOl

Too wild! I'm at least 1000 miles north of you and still no snow here. First time in my life I've ever seen grass in December in northern Manitoba.

It's amazing, isn't it? I just went (in October) to a meeting of Indigenous peoples from all around the Arctic -- Iceland, Finland, Russia, Siberia, Alaska, Canada. Again and again, they were documenting the climate changes they are facing -- essentially more extreme, and much more violent, weather of all kinds. They've been experiencing their equivalents of our recent extreme hurricane season and so on for about 10 years. A lot of them are saying exactly what you are -- times when you used to be able to go out and hunt because the sea ice was frozen or the tundra had a good snowpack for sleds, now it's open water or grasses. It's devastating everything. But it's not simply a latitude thing; the patterns are changing. So we're getting socked in south of you and you, way north of us, are getting nothing yet. Makes you wonder what it will be like 10 years from now.

Bless your heart, stay away from Elvis, and I hope you are staying warm.

Thanks for the blessings; I can use them. Second day in a row I've had someone need me to use my truck & tire chains in heavy snow to ferry them a good long ways for an urgent something-
or-other. Today it was a really, really sick dog -- a huge malamute and her owner in my little teeny truck cab. All snow and ice, and I am just now home and absolutely exhausted. I think tomorrow I am hanging out a sign and my truck key, so folks can just help themselves! :-) As far as cold -- well, putting chains on, losing a chain and walking a snowed-over dirt road looking for it, breaking a chain, wrapping a chain around the axle and having to crawl under to get it off, fixing a chain while kneeling in the frozen slush along the side of the road (these are separate events, not one). :-) But it looks like the dog will be ok (the vet was hopeful) and we're back safe and sound on roads that should not have been passable. (I keep telling people we are snowed in, and they say "I am snowed in, but YOU aren't because of your truck & its chains." LOL) So I can't complain. (Wait. I think I just DID. Oh well. Scratch it up to tiredness. :-)

I heard she was spotted at a 7-11 off I-80 with some guy who looked an awful lot like Elvis. You just never can tell about people can ya?

I'm shipping that tube tomorrow when I go in to get the little one a b-day present. Give me a yell when it arrives.

There will be a PART in there when it comes and not a CAT, right? Funny the places they can squeeze into! Leaving now to head into town. I'll get postage and labels and try to make it back to pack it all together and give it to the mail lady this afternoon.

Yep there will be a part in that tube no cats. But the part does have a dog leg, LOL.

I swapped emails with her last night. She offered to work on the stenciling for my NAA grill screen I am restoring.
