I bought these limiter chains for my tractor:

The pin that holds the top brackets on is too short. Can I get a longer pin? This is the pin that hold the top link on.

I just put the top chain brackets inside the tree. No need for a longer pin that way. The top link is between both brackets.

pin length aside, I got this exact same limiter chain set a year or so ago, and best thing I ever bought for my tractor. The other thing was the stabilizer bars.

"The other thing was the stabilizer bars."

Where did you get these? Can you send or post photo"s of your hook-up?

The stabilizer bars I got are the ones that go from the rear axle to the rear implement (not to be confused with any stabilizer bar things for the draw bar), I'll take a pic in the morning and post. Got'em at the local NewHollandFordWhatever place, the two of them were maybe $60 about a year ago, my memory could be off by a sawbuck. But before I had them, every time I went to make a turn in the field, the bushhog would run into the rear tires, very bad. Now, I can make as sharp a turn as I want, and that just isn't a problem. I'll post pic in the morning.

Stahl, the standard top link pin is 3/4 X 3 1/2 (9N-560 or 957E-560) and is in fact too short. This Kit idea was borrowed from Woods Equipment Co. and Woods recommended a 3/4" hex head bolt with lock nut and I agree. With a bolt you can take all the lost motion out of the straps as they take a beating when you drop the lift. My neighbor has broken several pins operating a 7 1/2' finish mower behind a 4 cyl 4000 but no bolts....Kelly.

Most farm stores carry a variety of lengths of connecting pins..

StahlMaster..... ..yep, the 3/4" x 2-3/4" N-toplink pin is just to short ain't it? YES, you can get several longer 3/4" toplink pins. Go shopping..... ....Dell
