have juice to the square coil points are set correctly and have new points, cap, coil, plug wires,no jiuce from the cap even.

RG, when you say you have "no juice from the cap even", do you mean there is no voltage at the top of the coil?? There should be voltage there with the key or switch 'ON'. If none there, the problem is 'upstream'. An open resistor; a faulty ignition switch; broken wire.... Did you try a temporary jumper from the battery hot terminal to the top of the coil?

I don't recall what model of tractor you have, or if it is a front mount or side mount distributor... duey

Did you replace the condenser?? If not that could be your problem. Or you might have the condenser wire shorted out in side the dist. which is easy to do if your not real careful hooking it up.

Did you carefully stretch the spring on the bottom og the new coil to be sure it contacts the points screw when it is installed? Another way to check this is to leave off the cork gasket under the coil. Put a piece of cardboard under the coil bail so it will fit tight. Now see if it cranks. If it does, you need to stretch the spring..
