The rear tire on my 8n went flat sitting in the shed. I aired it back up and within a few days it was flat again. Are the valve cores universal for all tractor tires. Also are most 8n's tube or tubeless tires?

Get yourself a spray bottle of water.. add a few drops of liquid dish soap.. I use this as a leak detector. After airing tire.. spray the valve core... see if ti bubbles.. next try the bead.. both sides.. next start spraying divits and gouges... eventually you will find a spot that bubbles.

If your tire/rim is tubeless, the valve stem will be a fixed type and mounted by a groove in the stem and be solid with the rim.. when the tire is flat.. you won't be able to push the stem into the rim. On a tube tire/rim.. the stem is merely protruding thru a hole inthe rim.. when tire is flat.. you can push the stem in.. etc..

Tubless 'might' be pluggable.. tube ones -must- be broke down to repair a leaky tube.. unless it is a valve core..

I've had no good luck with the liquid seal it up type addatives.. even for the tubes.. etc..

There are two cores possable, one inside thread and one outside thread. But if it is going down that fast you have a hole in the tube. When you air it up the air comes out the valve stem hole because it has nowhere to go but there. Make sure that the stem is leaking, but I would bet on the tube.
