After seeing all the posts on Ham Radios, got me to thinking. 30 years when I was starting a small tv repair service, I was given several boxes of old bakelite tubes of the early radio/tv. I was told that they had all been checked and were good. I still have them and last week, finding them in the barn, I took inventory. Most of them are of very small heater voltage 1-3v. I have about 400. I always thought that someday, there would be a market. Now, I'm not sure if there will ever be...Ron

RoN,
Go to eBay and type in "radio tube." Whole bunch of tubes offered, so someone must want them.

Well, Ron, like P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute." Seriously I bet there are some hammers and DXers out there who would take them off your hands.

Shoot, we all play with ole out of date tractors and the like and we find people with old parts. So, Radio should be the same way.

Now, if you could just find one of the ole tube testers that every 7-11 had, you would be in business!!

For a project in high school, I rebuilt a tube tester that had been in our local city's walgreens store. neat unit..
