I'm trying to put my 8N dash and stearing back together. I seem to have missed the bus somewhere but I cannot seem to get the throttle shaft back in. It hits the lower housing where the side bolt resides. My owners and service manuels don't have any good pics of this area. Any help is welcome. Thanks, Tom

I ran into the same problem several months ago and was going crazy trying to figure out what seemed to be a simple thing. End result - I had my steering tube attached the wrong way onto the steering box. Just remove the four bolts that attach the tube to the housing - turn so that the bottom two holes are now the top and re-attach with four bolts. Solved my problem, hope it solves yours.

Glad to hear the problem was solved - are you in South Carolina? My son is an engineering student at Clemson University - GO TIGERS!
