Trying to install a Davis model 102 on a '52 8n. I have some questions.
1. Is the rear axle of the tractor supposed to fit inside the "U" clamp looking ends of the loader frame, or does the loader frame go underneath the axle. If it fits inside, what to do with the right brake pedal?
2. The front of the loader framelooks like it's supposed to bolt to the same bolts that hold the bottom of the tractor grill, but when the "U" clamps are even with the rear axle, the front is a good foot away from the front of the tractor. 3. There are 3 pipe plugs in the rectangular tubing on one side of the loader frame. I am assuming this a hyd fluid tank?

I am sure I'll be back with more questions when I attempt to attach the hydraulic pump I'm robbing from another tractor. I appreciate your advice.

Thanks to all for the replies. Dawn, thanks for the good thoughts, and I am in NE Wyoming, near Gillette. Old, I appreciate your reply, I will try bolting it under the axle. And Roland, any pictures you can email to me would be a great deal of help, especially closer pics of the mounting assemblies. I am thinking this loader is actually built for the NAA, as it seems to be long for this tractor. Is the NAA longer than the 8n? If you send pics, please send to grubbie@collinscom.net

NAA izz longer but only around 5 to 6". Most loaders I have seen bolt on top of the rear axle. I did have a Superior Loader that bolted under the rear axles. I also don't believe the front of the loader would bolt to were the dog legs mount

Since I don't know about that loader and haven't seen one beofre I can only help with a guess and of the other loaders I have worked on. All loader I have seen sat under the rear axles and would use the same bolts/holes that hold the fenders on. Yes the plugs are most likely to be your hyd tank, one if low is the low level one if up a little higher is high level and the highest would be you fill hole. Again this info comes from working on other brand loaders and are only educated guesses.
