Years ago, I bought a Sears portable engine analyzer. It's a combination tach and dwell meter and it never came with any instruction manual. I can use it, but have to refer to a part of the original box it came in, as that had a sketch of how to set it up. I would like to be able to use it more effectively, but don't know how. The model number is: 161.21.6300. Does anyone out there have one of these things and if so, would you be willing to fax (or mail) over a copy of the manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated - and I can finally throw away that piece of cardboard!

Thanks guys for the response. Kozz - I'll definitely take you up on your offer. As for buying a new manual, sure I could do that and already knew that I could buy a replacement manual from Sears (for around $12 I might add), but in my book, that is just a complete ripoff. Dell - as for making a copy of my diagram, my piece of cardboard is OK, but it only shows which of the leads goes where. I know that there is a lot more to this tool and just wanted to understand how to use it a little better.

Rich,

I have a Sears analyzer, I will check the model number this weekend and if it"s the same or close I"ll look for the instructions, but I"m not sure I still have them. Will post back when I know more.

Quick search of the Parts area on the Sears website returns:

Owner's manual - part number 2-1683

Appears to be available online from that site - at least I could put one in the cart.
