Looking to locate a "drawbar setup" - you know the safe way to pull stuff behind the ole 8N. The swinging drawbar --- here is a pic from Smith's epic N-series site:

Can I attach to this for pulling stuff like logs or just trailers and implements? Thanks in advance - let me know if anyone has one for sale.

Thx,
Andy

Andy -

Be careful if you're gonna try to skid logs. They can hang up and next thing you know, you'll be on your back with your tractor on top of you. I guarantee that'll ruin your whole day.

That particular swinging drawbar was intended for working with a heavy towed machine such as a combine or hay baler. The underslung swinging drawbar that attaches under the axles and to a bracket bolted around the PTO would be a better choice. The whole aftermarket package sells for about $125. The latter leaves the three point free for use without having to unhook all that pictured mess.

Certainly most and probably all of the aftermarket suppliers have what you crave.

You can probably find them at the local farm supply too. They are even in the Northern Hydralics catalogue for $30.00 for just the swinging draw bar or $95.00 for the complete kit.

Your mileage may vary
